Kentucky ElderLaw, PLLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Misty Clark Vantrease as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law. The UofL Trager Institute is a non-profit foundation affiliated with the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. It is a hub of life-long wellness and learning that improves the lives of older adults and transforms the understanding of healthcare.
The Trager Institute recently announced the launch of a new elder law-based clinic to provide in-house consultation focusing specifically on legal needs such as Advance Care Planning, Estate Planning, Living Wills, Immigration needs, Guardianship and related matters. Chosen to lead this new clinic through its first year, Vantrease will provide insight and leadership to those participating in this program.

She has experience in life care planning, VA benefits & planning, long-term care planning, among other practice areas at her current position as Partner at Kentucky ElderLaw.
“I am so excited to be a part of helping develop the new Trager Institute Elder Law Clinic. It’s a wonderful opportunity for both the law students and the patients that they will be helping. I am happy to share my skills with these bright, dedicated law students who are committed to the holistic mission of the Trager Institute,” said Vantrease.
JoAnne Sweeny, Professor of Law and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs University of Louisville, spoke about this recent announcement:
“The Brandeis School of law is thrilled to have Misty lead our inaugural Elder Law Clinic in partnership with the Trager Institute. Misty is a well-respected attorney in elder law practice and she has been integral to the creation and shaping of the new clinic. This area of law is essential for our community and the law school is very proud that we will be able to fill this need under Misty’s leadership.”
